STARFISH creative events + inspiration

With the explosion of destination weddings we couldn’t resist an invitation to visit the Barceló Costa Cancun Hotel.  Stay tuned for our first-hand reports on Cancun to determine if it’s an ideal honeymoon or destination wedding locale for you!  In the meantime, we wanted to share with you some exotic island wedding favours we just love.  Many of our STARFISH couples come back to Canada and have their reception with family and friends.  Why not bring back some of the tropics for your party in the following ways:

-          Add a local specialty dish to your menu (taco buffet, jerk chicken, rotis)
-          Hire a steel pan band to entertain your guests

A few weeks ago the STARFISH team joined the good folks at the Bay Gift Registry at St. Laurent for a shopping party. We also set up our signature “what type of bride are you” table designs using all their merchandise which was super fun. A big thank you to Flowers Talk who provided all the great flowers for the event – Elizabeth + team are great to work with and you will not be disappointed with their excellent eye for design + super customer service. Maria and the girls at the Bay are also very friendly + knowledgeable and make the daunting task of scanning for your gift registry a fun event! This is one of the best parts of our job – collaborating on event projects with great people.
