So Valentine’s Day has come + gone. We hope it was a special day for all of you in some way. Now the heart chocolates will be replaced by chocolate bunnies! Gotta love consumerism. But the bonus about all this is the deep discounts on red + pink decor items. So if your wedding colours fit with this palette go get that 75% off candy for your candy bar and other extras for centrepieces and decor. We recieved this Valentine’s Day card from one of our fave photographer’s Sam + Mary – isn’t this charcoal grey + brown mix so sharp! What a great colour palette for the chic bride, the bridesmaids can wear dresses in all 4 colours, with calla lillies and brown branches as the staple flower mix – how sharp!
Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day.Now I know you have been thinking about it.The hearts and chocolates are everywhere in the shop windows. You may have been trying to book restaurant reservations for weeks, trying to find the perfect outfit or squeezing in a visit to your salon for a wax.For many the rituals of Valentine’s Day are a treasured memory and it’s also a day for many engagement proposals. And we can’t wait to hear what all our clients and friends did on 02.14.08 because we are here to share your memories. The team at STARFISH loves romance and our best tip for you is: Make Everyday an “I love you” Day.Let’s not forget to tell the special ones in our life what they mean to us with random acts of kindness the other 364 days. And what better way to show someone love than by good ol’ fashion communication. We have seen that couples who talk together, stay together. So why not try some of these for size?We called on Oprah for these great questions. So one of these days curl up on the couch with your honey, grab a glass of wine, pop in some Marvin Gaye and get talking! You’ll be glad you did.http://www.oprah.com/tows/pastshows/tows_2002/tows_past_20021028_c.jhtml

The movie was so funny! All the girls were laughing in their seats and I couldn’t help but think “Why?” – “why the hideous bridesmaids dresses” … if for nothing else, pure entertainment value and a good lesson on what not to wear. Before the movie we showcased 4 gorgeous bridesmaids dresses from TRUSTFUND (493 Sussex Drive) – they are all featured on our flickr website. Check them out and let us know your favourite.
WOW! It’s already been a month since the Wedding Palace Bridal Show – and as our previous entry attests, we had such a blast and met such amazing people. Our fantastic photographer Kim Ing recently provided us with the photos she took of our booth. We were thrilled with the photos as they really illustrate all the great details in our “What Type of Bride Are You?” series. So just in case you didn’t get to see it in person, or want to refresh your memory here are the chic, natural, theme + classic concepts we displayed with tableware, floral, and stationary ideas as unique as brides themselves.
