We love Katherine Heigl.  We were looking at her winter wonderland wedding photos the other day and trying to figure out what type of bride she was.  And while it was a toss up between natural, classic and theme bride we really think her wedding shined under a “Christmas themed” affair.   Her attention to detail really showed off this theme wedding.  The reception décor included lots of big evergreens with twinkle lights and Christmas decorations.   The holiday theme also followed through in the food, where each guest received a basket of Christmas cookies, and traditional yuletide fare like goose and butternut squash soup was served at the reception. We can’t wait to see her in 27 Dresses.  We look forward to seeing you girls tomorrow night at Rideau Centre’s Empire Theatre.  STARFISH has organized a special screening of 27 Dresses for brides-to-be and their girlfriends.  Tickets are only $10 and includes entrance to the movie, mini makeovers from the Bay, cupcakes from Kakes by Judy, fashion from Trust Fund and you are entered in a draw to win pearl earrings from La Maison D’Or.

WOW it’s already been a week since the Wedding Palace Bridal Show at the Congress Centre. Words cannot express all the joys + highs we experienced at the show. It was two-fold for us but the best part was the people we met, from the candid conversations we had with cool vendors + entrepreneurs in the city to all the excited newly engaged couples + their friends + family who came out to explore the wedding planning world. We couldn’t be happier to see sam and mary photography blog about our booth at the wedding show. We spent months trying to come up with a fresh design that was inviting to everyone. Thank you sam and mary for visiting us at the show. You two epitomize the “perfect pear” (*hint – also a great wedding favour) and their enthusiasm for wedding + lifestyle portrait photography is contagious.
